ENFORCEMENT AND COLLECTION · WASL LEGAL
Review of Enforcement Proceedings and Disputes
In enforcement matters, we review the enforcement request, payment order, service and payment records, and any objections together. Existing steps and available options are assessed for the creditor or debtor on a case-by-case basis. The type of proceeding, service date, basis of the debt and actions already taken may affect the next steps. Dated notices and file records should be reviewed promptly.
A useful first review establishes the sequence of events, each party’s position and what the available records show. It then considers the client’s objective, steps already taken and the current procedural stage. This helps identify open questions and the documents that may support a clear next-step assessment.
